ALL STUDENTS GRADUATE PREPARED

In 2010, Oregon adopted higher K-12 standards in English Language Arts and Math to ensure all students move from grade to grade with the academic knowledge and skills necessary for success beyond high school. Because we raised the bar for what we expect students to know and be able to do, we have also changed the way we measure student progress through our state tests.

2022-23 Annual Notice for Statewide Tests

The Annual Notice for Statewide Tests is published by ODE at the beginning of each school year. This notice informs parents of state testing requirements, why participation matters, and parent and adult student rights regarding state testing. These copies are providedfor reference:

English Language Arts & Math: Grades 3-6--- May 8 - 19, 2023

                                                  Grades  7-8----April 10 - 14, 2023

                                                   Grade 11----April 17 - 18, 2023

Science:    Grade 5  --- May 8 - 19, 2023

                  Grade 8 --- April 10 - 14, 2023

                  Grade 11 --- April 17 - 18, 2023

 

30-Day Notice for Statewide Tests and Opt-out


Parents who are choosing to Opt-Out of Oregon Summative Assessments (ELA, MATH, OR SCIENCE), please complete the appropriate forms below.

 

 Opt-out forms need to be submitted at least 3 days before testing begins.  If the form is not submitted by then, the student will be expected to test.
